On Saturday, October 6, Dawson-Boyd Arts Association presents the premiere of a new work during Meander weekend at 7:30pm at Memorial Auditorium in Dawson: A Life on the Prairie: Poem, Story & Song from Lac qui Parle.

Themes of Carlson’s work include celebrating the natural world while recognizing the challenges of life and work in a rural setting.
Collaborators for this production include composer Andy Stermer, formerly of Montevideo; pianist Brandon Hurley and bassist Allysa Larson, and mezzo-soprano Heidi Felton, all residents of the Prairie Waters region.
