Big News, Quick Change – Mary Mack in Dawson Saturday Feb 3

We have bad news and good news. Sadly Cy Amundson, our scheduled comedian is unable to be with us this weekend. Happily Mary Mack is going to replace him Saturday night at 7:30!

Mary is hilarious! Her endearing, slightly quirky stage presence and musical surprises make her popular with a wide range of people. With her mandolin in hand and off-kilter stories of life as a former polka band leader, music teacher, and all-around confused individual, Mary delivers a one-of-a-kind performance that is sure to make you laugh. Mary’s mandolin sing-alongs have been featured on national radio and television, including appearances on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and NBC’s Last Comic Standing.

But why tell you when we can show you. Check her out below and join us Saturday night. Tickets will be available at the door.

Cy Amundson to perform at Memorial Auditorium as part of Winterfest Weekend in Dawson

With energetic storytelling, observations, and fun crowd interaction, Cy Amundson’s brand of stand-up comedy is all his own. Growing up one of nine children in rural Minnesota, Cy’s Dad’s strict television rules left him with few evening options other than Nick At Night. It was among the countless hours with Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, and Lucille Ball that Cy began to fall in love with comedy. In his early 20’s, he moved to Minneapolis to cut his teeth at one of the most reputable comedy clubs in the country – ACME Comedy Company.

With performances at the Just For Laughs Festival and a finalist in The Great American Comedy Festival, in Johnny Carson’s home town, Cy Amundson received national recognition and has since been on multiple TV appearances, including: Comedy Central, Conan, MTV, CMT, FOX, and, ironically, Nick At Night’s own comedy show, Mom’s Night Out!

Cy uses his uncanny ability for joke writing, coupled with his affable stage persona to individualize a performance that his audience won’t soon forget, and that would make his comedy heroes proud.

This event is sponsored by Johnson Memorial Health Services and Pioneer Public Television. Coffee and refreshments will be served in the lobby prior to the show.

Upcoming show – Sat., Feb. 3, 2018 at 7:30. Cost is $15 Adults and $5 Students.
